NickEmoji is a free copy-and-paste library of emoji nicknames, symbol sets, and fancy font styles, built and kept up by the NickEmoji editorial team.
What the library actually is
Every set on NickEmoji is Unicode text, not an image or a font file. We group decorations by mood and by platform — Discord, TikTok, Snapchat, Steam, WhatsApp, Instagram — because the same symbol that looks fine in one name field gets cut, rejected, or shown as a box in another.
How we test a set
Before a page claims a symbol “works” on a platform, someone on the team pastes it into the real field it’s meant for — the Discord display-name box, the Snapchat name field, a phone contact card — and records what actually happened: accepted, silently truncated, rejected, or accepted but rendered as an empty box on at least one device. The page shows the device and the date of that test, because platforms change their rules without announcing it, and a result from months ago can go stale.
Who publishes this
NickEmoji is published by the NickEmoji editorial team. There’s no named individual author to credit — if that changes, this page will say so and name the person. We don’t claim affiliation with Discord, TikTok, Snapchat, Steam, WhatsApp, Instagram, X, or any platform mentioned on the site; those names belong to their owners and appear here only to describe where a set is used.
Where our facts come from
Code points and block names come from unicode.org. Platform field rules come from each platform’s own help documentation, cited with the date we read it, since those rules change without notice. We don’t cite other name-list sites, and we don’t publish AI-generated claims as fact.
Questions people ask
Is NickEmoji affiliated with Discord, TikTok, or Snapchat?
No. We’re an independent reference site. Those platform names describe where a symbol set is commonly used, not an endorsement or partnership.
Who decides which symbols go in a set?
The NickEmoji editorial team picks and tests them; see our editorial policy for the exact method and how corrections get published.
Does NickEmoji store the names I create?
No. The combiner and every copy button run in your browser; see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
